Symbol UK began in 1999 with the aim of bringing together service users, skilled practitioners, commissioners and funding, to develop innovative services that enrich the lives of children and adults who have special needs.
Symbol works in alliance with service providers, including schools, local authorities, health trusts, charities, residential service providers, parent led groups and other organisations.
Symbol does not work in competition with other providers, but seeks to share ideas and influence practice.
Symbol is able to provide cost effective, high quality services that meet the needs of individuals and organisations.
Symbol has established a staff base with a high level of flexibility that enables us to put together multi-disciplinary skill-mixed teams to meet the identified needs of each service. We use the skills and experience of support workers, assistants and co-workers, who do not hold professional qualifications, alongside our unparalleled specialist team of professionals. This enables us to provide high-quality, cost-effective services, and to respond to the challenges of seeking to recruit staff in shortage professions.
