This year Awareness Week (16-22 March) is all about Getting Active and Getting Involved.
The Down Syndrome Association wants to encourage people with Down’s syndrome to Get Active and Get Involved in their local communities. Promoting the fact that having different hobbies and leisure pursuits benefits health and overall wellbeing.
For over 17 years Symbol UK has been commiteed to providing not only therapy services to individuals, parents groups and schools, but also in running exciting and invigorating activity weeks for children and young people with Down Syndrome – not forgetting to include siblings & family!
Some of our activities have included days out to fun places, learing about “Enso Ki” horse riding and even theatre events.
